Conference Access Scholarship

Co-Creating Code 2026 is committed to creating space for perspectives that might otherwise be excluded from important conversations about artificial intelligence, governance, culture, and society.

To support wider student participation, the conference is offering 10 Conference Access Scholarships to currently enrolled university students who would face financial difficulty in paying the attendance fee.

What the scholarship covers

The scholarship covers the conference attendance fee only. It does not cover travel, accommodation, visa costs, insurance, local transportation, meals outside the conference programme, or personal expenses.

Who may apply

  • The applicant must be currently enrolled at a recognized university or educational institution.
  • The attendance fee must create a genuine financial barrier.
  • The applicant must be available to attend the full conference on 4 and 5 October 2026.
  • The applicant must provide valid proof of current student status.
  • The applicant must understand that the scholarship covers only the attendance fee.
  • The applicant must have, or be actively developing, a reasonable plan to cover travel, accommodation, visa, insurance, local transportation, and personal expenses.

Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee an award. Applications will be assessed competitively based on financial need, relevance, contribution, intended use of learning, and the feasibility of the applicant's travel and accommodation plan.

Important: Please do not register separately while your scholarship application is being reviewed.

Applicants should not complete paid registration for the conference or workshop at the same time as submitting a scholarship application. You will be notified of the outcome of your application. If your application is unsuccessful and places remain available, you may then complete registration and provide payment details.
